I would like to express my deep personal gratitude and appreciation for your help and support to our campaign over the past months.

In Oregon it seems conservatives have two choices: give up, or form a loyal opposition and begin rebuilding on a firm foundation.

After a pause to analyze election results we should regain our collective strength, and start a solid rebuilding program in our Republican Party!

Again, Thank You for the many ways you helped in this campaign.

PAIN AT THE PUMPS”

The fuel crisis we are experiencing in Oregon is hurting rural and coastal Oregonians more than urban dwellers. In general, we drive further, have no alternative transportation, pay higher fuel prices and have less expendable income than urban Oregonians.

Governor Kulongoski's 10% Ethanol Mandated gasoline additive reduces mileage and causes maintenance problems. It is costing us money and not saving the environment.

We can’t keep allowing Portland and urban interests to lock-up our resource rich coast for their playground. The Oregon Coast is a proud part of Oregon’s heritage and an important part of Oregon’s economy. We need to be a priority in the Oregon legislature. I will see to it that we are.”

Al Pearn - Strong leadership for our economy.

"Our coastal economy thrives using all available resources; human and natural. Workers need family wage jobs and a future. We need the burden of excessive taxation and regulation removed."

Al Pearn - Strong leadership for our children.

"A strong economy means stable funding for schools and we must have accountability of how education dollars are spent, with classroom funding as the first priority."

Al Pearn - Strong leadership for accountable government
.

"We must work to prioritize spending and balance budgets the same way families do with their budgets. Every dollar in the state budget is because of your hard work and taxes. We need our share of the state budget for services on the coast."

Al Pearn - Strong leadership for public safety.

"Methamphetamines and other drugs are causing destruction of our youth. Accompanying crimes are overburdening the justice system and we must establish higher standards for enforcement, judicial processing, corrections and treatment for this serious problem."
